Erosion Control Filter Sock Mulch or Compost Filter Sock Mulch is a compost material blend designed specifically to be pushed or blown into mesh tubing for the purpose of being placed perpendicular to sheet-flow runoff to control erosion by filtering silt laden water flow. This material is recognized and approved for the purpose of erosion control best management practices. It is a combination of aged wood mulch, compost and wood chips for maximizes the ability to fill the erosion socks.
